This is the face ...

of a baby that dislikes eating single flavour purees and plain cereal .. and I mean the Heinz flavoured ones not the hand made ones (lol!) .. yes, I am a awful mummy .. I have no patience to puree and cook my baby's food preferring to leave it to Mr Heinz.

I've discovered that Calista prefers the Heinz jar food meant for 7-9 months old babies .. like Pumpkin and Cous Cous .. and Tender Beef with Vegetable Mash (it's organic too!) .. I think it's cos these ones are more textured and have more flavour .. of course, these are more chunky so I used the baby spoon to ensure the bigger pieces are all mashed up ..



After her dinner, I spooned some of the fruit gel (also Heinz bottled baby food) and she had that for dessert .. and some of the banana puffs in the picture above .. those are really yummy .. be careful you don't get addicted to them too ...

For tea today, she had a Farley rusk .. I also offered her some Heinz baby juice ... :)

hmmmmmm .. it looks like I can be a Heinz spokeperson .. lol !!

The Singapore Flyer ..

Yes, I found that having many kids can be useful too .. use them to HIDE the fact that I'm, er, chunky .. lol !!

Look, ma .. I can see our house from here ... !! .. eh, it's farnee la .. she was clutching the metal frame for dear life .. and was about to start HOLLERING .. lol !!

Emily was fascinated with the audio set .. and thought it was a phone/walkie talkie and tried to speak into the handheld unit. hahahah !!

Taken by a nice passenger in our capsule .. he had asked Stanley to take a photo for him .. of him and his girlfriend.

At the garden below the Flyer ... my girls love this sorta thing ... so we spent awhile looking at the fishes etc.

Love this shot of Calista ... Emily and Lauren were playing with her :) We were at Popeyes having some food ... I love Popeyes .. so does Claudia .. especially the biscuits they have there ... it reminds us of our road trip to New Orleans when we lived in the States ... Popeyes was everywhere there .. we had it quite a number of times during our few days in New Orleans .. I remember whenever we went to the drive thru, hubby wanted to die cos he just could not grasp the heavy New Orleans accented English .. hahahahahahahha !!! He had such problems ordering food ...

At 6 months 3 weeks old ...

Brought Calista for vaccination shots today .. she had her Prevanar booster shot and the 6-in-1. She yelled momentarily but stopped immediately when the nurse rattled a toy in front of her face .. talk about about being distracted easily .. lol !!

So Calista is now 7.98 kg and is 69.5 cm long .. she is in the 90th percentile .. she doesn't look it to me .. I thought she just looked average ... lol!

I ordered a chocolate cake for Daddy on Friday for Father's Day :) The girls made presents for Daddy in Sunday School today too .. here is Lauren's .. it's a paper weight.

the zoo ....

Met up with Lisa and her kiddies at the zoo (again) .. this time for a quick morning walk .. they girls were thrilled when Aunty Lisa treated them all to pony rides and carriage rides !!! It was the first time for my girls ... Here are some pics ..

The whole gang ... chatting with the handler and asking him questions about the horse .. we found out that the horse's name is King and he is 15 years old.

On the carriage ride with Claudia, Clara, Emily and Calista ... wish it had been an closed air-conditioned carriage instead though. lol !! Actually, I wish the whole zoo was indoor and air-conditioned. dammit.

In her bath seat ...

The Mothercare change station that has a bathtub under it .. it was getting too cramped for Calista .. whenever she kicked, she'd slosh water everywhere .. so the things placed under the change station would get wet .. Anyway, she's getting heavier so I thought it would be better for her to sit on her own and have her bath ..



She cried the first time I put her in yesterday .. the sound of the water spraying out of the shower head scared her a bit .. but she was fine with it today. I didn't want to fill up my bathtub .. cos I was afraid the seat would tip over (although it has those suction thingys on the bottom ... u never know) so I kinda just hosed her off instead :)




Heh, it was a sunny morning so my master bathroom was bright and airy .. Calista was happy to sit in her bath seat and just continually grin at me .. lol !!

Kidzworld at The Singapore Zoo ..

Finally, I brought the girls SOMEWHERE ... I arranged to meet a friend and her kids at the zoo at freaking 9am (yes, we're KIASU) and the kids had a blast together ... too bad I don't have a single photo of Claudia and her friends, Clara and Andrew .. I was just too tired and lazy today .. I slept at nearly 5 am the nite before so I was beat by the time we reached the zoo.





Calista was either sitting in her stroller or on my lap ..

Last Sunday ..

After church, we went to Suntec to have lunch and do our grocery shopping. Believe it or not, 2 weeks of the June holidays have gone by and I haven't taken the girls anywhere !!! Well, we do go out ... but it's usually nearby to Causeway Point. The weather has been just so awful these last 2 weeks that the thought of walking around at the zoo ... *ugh* So we end up waiting for Daddy during the weekends to take us out.

This Sunday we went to Plaza Singapura cos I needed new protective plastic cover for my dining table from Spotlight ..

This was taken in Disney World, Florida .. our 2nd trip there before we came back to Singapore.
