Found a sheet of those kiddy tattoos somewhere .. I think it came with the Flik Flak Scooby Doo watch .. Lauren insisted that I put one on her cheek ... *sigh*

At play ...

We were at Marina Square for lunch on Sunday .. I also needed to get new pyjamas for Lauren at Mothercare so there we were at 11am after church ... Kiddy Palace has some outdoor toys out for the kiddies to play on so Lauren was happily pushing Emily on the swing ..

Then in the evening, I decided to take the girls downstairs to the playground .. they were really happy running around ...

The Hannah Montana craze .. sigh

We were at Robinsons yesterday when Lauren picked up this HM mike that plays the son "Best of Both Worlds" and also amplifies your voice while you sing along ... *sigh* of course, Lauren begged me to get it for her ..

The girls in their jammies ... Claudia has her High School Musical pjs on .. I have bought her some Hannah Montana stuff from Disney Online - .. more Hannah Montana clothes ... (hasn't arrived yet though)

Admittedly, the song "Best of Both Worlds" is catchy .. lol .. and Miley Cyrus is really pretty ..

Running around is DAMN hard work .. lol

Yup, it's Emily asleep at our coffee table .. isn't it hilarious? She missed her afternoon nap and was munching on a biscuit at around 5pm when I spotted her eyes fluttering shut. Kept asking her to lie down on the sofa but Little Miss Stubborn refused .. she finally couldn't take it and decided to lie down under the coffee table! lol !!

At Serenity Cafe

It was the ONLY place that was NOT crowded at Vivo on Sat .. we were there while hubby attended a wedding lunch at Rasa Sentosa .. I wasn't keen to accompany him cos I'd rather be with our girls strolling around Vivocity then being at a wedding lunch .. we were at Serenity with my friend, Michelle and her daughter, Beverly :)

LOL. This was taken in the afternoon - Emily was due for her nap and fell asleep playing with her markers and drawing.

A fairly busy weekend ...

Well, we had a somewhat busy weekend .. which is unusual for us ... On Saturday, I suddenly felt like going to Takashimaya .. and so we were there just before 10am .. I've never seen the shutters go up at ANY departmental store .. this was a first for me ... hahahaha. We had a nice leisurely breakfast at the foodcourt and then walked around a bit .. managed to get some tops from United Colours of Benetton for the girls and my maid bought her daughter some toys too ... it was a very nice outing since it was still relatively empty at that point and when we left at about 12 plus, it was starting to get crowded .. UGH.

On Sunday, it was church as usual in the morning, then we went down to Vivocity to meet friends for lunch at Earle Swensens and then we headed out to Sentosa to join them at Rasa Sentosa Resort for an afternoon of swimming .. well, not me .. it was the Daddy and the girls that were in the pool .. the girls had a very enjoyable time with their friend, Beverly :) The sun was BLAZING btw and well, you know me .. my maid and I slapped on LOADS of sunblock on the girls .. I don't like to see them (or myself tanned) .. lol. Anyway, Lauren doesn't tan .. she goes all red I suspect (like my mom) and I know it'll hurt, so there I was in the room ... putting sunblock EVERYWHERE on her and Emily .. and supervising Claudia too.

It wasn't a fruitless effort btw .. Lauren is still nice and fair .. so are the other 2 girls .. Claudia tanned A BIT but guess that was my fault for not slapping on the sunblock MYSELF (I let her do it herself and only helped her put some on her back).



Sigh .. I didn't check the photo or else I would've seen that Lauren had her eyes closed in this shot ...



Emily was just happy to play with the bucket and shovel ..

Babysitting and squeaky sandals !

Babysat Farah today .. the girls had a blast with her around ... :)



Found this pair of Minnie Mouse sandals for Emily at Metro .. She ONLY agreed to wear it cos she was so fascinated with the squeaking sound that it makes when she walks ... lol ... I know she's a bit old for it ... but I totally forgot about buying her a pair when she first started walking so the little aunty has never had a pair before !! Not ex at $26.90 too!

Emily is "proportionately big" .. lol

Emily had her 24 month developemental check up with ther pediatrician recently when she turned 2 ..

Verdict : the little girl is in the 90th percentile for her weight, height and head circumference ... lol .. doc declared her to be "proportionately big" ... hahahahahah.

ok la, better that everything is in the 90th percentile - ie it's consistent - than having a teeny head and heavy body ... lol.

She also had her Hepatitis A injection .. she didn't cry .. lol. Happily trotted out with a sweetie in her hand given by the doc.

I'm really lucky that my girls have no problems with food etc. As long as there's RICE and vegetable soup and some sort of meat .. she will happily devour it ... no need for fancy stuff .. my maid cooks a really healthy soup with chicken stock, broccoli, carrots, tofu and fish balls and they are very happy to eat that EVERYDAY. We vary the meat dish of course .. beef, fish, chicken, lamb .. and Lauren and Emily are perfectly happy with that. They also love milk and so have that in the mornings, afternoon and at night. They also like to eat fruit, yoghurt, bread, eggs, cheese and pasta .. so all in all, they have a decent diet :)

sigh ...

It is quite hard to find decent toddler shoes here .. oh sure, you walk into any shoe store and they have all kinds of shoes and sandals for toddlers but they are often hard and from the looks of it, quite uncomfortable to walk in .. I bought a pair of babybotte leather sandals from Boutique Nicole in Forum that cost me more than a $100 .. and the little aunty refuses to wear them ... cos they're a bit hard ... SIGH. I realize that she prefers soft leather shoes like her Pediped ones which unfortunately are too small for her now ..

So we were at United Square yesterday trawling the shops looking for a decent soft pair of shoes for her ... the best I could come up with is the pair you see above from Colettee .. quite cheap at just $30.. it's really soft and though it isn't the most prettiest pair of shoes around .. too bad.

I'm tempted to order a couple of pairs off the Pedoodles website ... their shoes are awesome .. Lauren is still wearing hers .. :)
